Description

This 3D printable medieval house is part of the Wightwood Abbey 3D printed terrain set.

“A place to rest your weary feet after long days of pacing the courtyard contemplating the nature of divinity. Rest well (and don’t forget to say your prayers!).”

The personal residence of Wightwood Abbey’s abbot, but entirely suitable as a dwelling in any medieval setting. The abbot’s house is a two story building with an internal stairwell as well as both front and rear entrances with working doors. The first floor is of the house is constructed from stone, and the second floor is made from wood and plaster. A large oriel overhangs the front entrance and provides an interior loft for a more dynamic gameplay.

The Abbot’s House is the most lavish of quarters at Wightwood Abbey, though ‘lavish’ is stretching it. This private residence for the abbot doubles as the abbey’s office. It features a beautiful oriel on the second floor as well as a private garden out back. A row of stones in the archway of the doorway stand out, replaced some 20 years ago after a madness took one of the brothers and he broke his way into the abbot’s abode seeking to murder him. In contrast to this foul memory, or perhaps to spite it, Father Veerly refused to ever have the door latch replaced. His house is always open, and though he himself grows more and more irritable in is his advanced years, this simple act wins him much respect from his brothers.
