The various rest houses that exist along the downsway from Torbridge Cull to the capital are sometimes literal lifesavers for pilgrims and other travelers along the road. The weather can prove very difficult as one approaches the Wightwood vale, especially in winter when cruel winds can sweep down of the Khavahk mountains with terrible ferocity. The chance to cook a warm meal on a hot stove and take shelter from the elements is a godsend for those who aren’t properly prepared for travelling the long and winding road.
