“I had another vision. The Wightwood was troubled by a terrible storm. Treetops bent and split, pushed about by a ferocious gale and the rain pelted the land like iron nails driven by the gods themselves. From within the forest a light sprung up, piercing through the dense tree cover and shining out into the night like the beacon of the Watchspire. The land around was bathed in golden light and the storm seemed to swirl around the glow, and a group of figures could be seen standing in one of the old stone circles near the centre of the wightwood. The figures were immersed in the light, and suddenly raised their hands to the sky, which thundered as a response. Then they shouted in unison, “Temoth angua nuk telati hof tua!” and the winds redoubled their force, and the rain fell even harder. Yet the blinding glow from the circle of menhirs did not dissapate. I awoke in a panic, but later was able to visit the Abbey and attempt a translation of what I heard. What I discovered created even more questions, and made me much afeared: “Soul of/at the land/home, guardian <unclear>, clean/purge all/life”. – Demoth Vadana, known to some as The Seer of the Northwoods
The Menhirs of the Forest Folk have been around since long before the Telharians arrived. Yet their purpose has never been made clear. There are some who know… but they stay hidden, until now.
